Rock Monsters

Skills/Topics:

Supply List:
-Rocks
-Paint/Paint Markers
-Googly Eyes
-Paintbrush
-Glue (liquid glue or hot glue gun preferable)
-Toothpick
Alternative Supply List:
-If you don't have a paintbrush your child can finger paint or use another tool such as a q-tip, stick, etc.
-If you don't have googly eyes then you can paint eyes on
Overview:
During this project your child will have fun collecting rocks and turning them into rock monsters.
Project Directions:
Step One:
Collect rocks of any size or shape you would like to paint.
Step Two:
Wash your rocks and let them dry.
Step Three:
Paint the "body" of the monster one solid color then let it dry.
Step Four:
Paint on the mouths and eyebrows. If you're having a hard time adding the facial features with a paintbrush trying using a toothpick instead!
Step Five:
Glue on googly eyes.
Step Six:
Add on other craft items like pom poms, feathers, etc. for some other fun details if desired.
