Overview:

During this project you will get a chance to create a bubble or block letter! Are you going to use first letter of your name? Then you will use zentangle techniques to fill in the inside OR the outside of your letter. Some people say that zentangle art is relaxing. Click here for some relaxing music while you work on your art!

Project Directions:

Step One:

Draw a bubble or block letter! Remember that some letters are hard! Use a pencil until you are happy with your letter then trace with your black sharpie/marker and erase any left over pencil lines. Dry light until you get it right!

Step Two:

Draw lines to divide the inside OR outside of your letter. These lines will separate the different zentangle patterns drawn in the next step. Look at the picture below to see arrows pointing to the seperating lines.

Step Three:

Add zentangle patterns to each section within OR outside your letter. Add a different pattern to each section. For best results vary sections with lots of positive space (black space) and sections with lots of negative space (white space).

Click on the picture below to see different types of zentangle patterns!
