-Flour

-Warm Water 

-Salt

-Measuring Cups

-Mixing Bowl

-Mixing Spoon

-Paint (optional)

-Paintbrush (optional)

 

Alternative Supply List: 

-If you don't have a paintbrush your child can finger paint

Overview: 

During this project your child will have fun making and using homemade salt dough to create a coil pot. Once done with creating bake it and then paint it!

Step One:

Follow the recipe in the picture below.

Step Two:

Create a coil pot! Click here for instructions on how to make it! 

Helpful Hints: 

If you notice your dough is very soft and you are having trouble making the coil pot add more salt and flour (in small increments) to the dough then try again.

If you notice your dough is cracking add more water (in small increments) to the dough then try again.

Step Three: 

Bake it at 250 degrees fahrenheit until dry (1-2 hours depending on thickness) then paint it! 

If you don't have paint then just bake it. If you have pieces that would not stay attached then glue your pieces back together after they are baked.
