One Point Perspective Cityscape

Skills/Topics:
-One-Point Perspective
-Vanishing Point
-Horizon Line
-Horizontal Line
-Vertical Line
-Diagonal Line
-Illusion of Space
Supply List:
-12 by 18 inch white paper
-Paper
-Pencil
-Eraser
-18 Inch Ruler
-Black Sharpie (ultra fine)
-Colored Pencils
Alternative Supply List:
-If you do not have a 12 by 18 inch white paper you can use a different sized white
paper, colored paper, newspaper, etc.
-If you do not have a black sharpie you can use a black marker. If you don’t have
either then skip this step.
-If you do not have colored pencils use another form of coloring material such as
crayons, markers, etc.
-If you do not have a 18 inch ruler use a 12 inch ruler (standard size). Preferably you
should use a ruler that is the size of the longest edge of your paper so with an 12 by
18 inch paper it is ideal to use an 18 inch ruler. If you do not have a ruler then use
something with a straight edge like a piece of wood, a book, a frame, etc.
Overview:

One point perspective drawings are created using a horizon line, vanishing point, horizon lines, vertical lines, and diagonal lines. Learn how to create below and above eye level buildings as well as windows, doors, roads, and more.
